This time the logos return to their customary positions on the tongue and ankle collar, and on the heel you will see an interesting tribal-esque graphic with the Bin 23 stamp on the heels. Paired with the colorway of White, Del Sol, Black, Varsity Green, and Challenge Red, the Air Max 90 Premio features an African theme of sorts – quite a contrast from the ‘high-end’ look achieved by the earlier Free Run Brand Bin 23 releases. We’ve already seen four Air Free Run Retro Premios hit retail, and although opinions have varied on the designs, the Bin 23 collection has had no trouble clearing out nearly instantaneously each time around. A few months back, we got our first look at the Air Free Run V installment, by far the closest of all the Premios to replicating an original colorway. Inspired by a 48-point MJ performance in which Michael wore a pair of black Air Free Run V’s with white laces, the Premio V seems to have taken a slightly different Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 design approach than its predecessors. Some may have wanted something a little crazier, while others are drooling at the thought of getting their hands on a super-lux leather version of the classic Black/Metallic Silver color scheme. It’s that time of the year again! Nate Robinson‘s been at the forefront of the NBA sneaker-game ever since he entered the league in 2005 as a late first-round pick from the Knicks (via the Suns). Nate’s been known to wear some heat during his college days, but his sneaker-fame in the NBA is solely due to his rising up the ranks – literally – by dunking over anyone with a pulse and capturing the hearts of the undersized around the globe. During his time with the Knicks and the Celtics, Nate Robinson has gone against the team-sneaker trend and has worn some notable kicks like the Zoom LeBron 5 ‘Birthday’, the Altitude X3 (long before the 2010 version was even confirmed), and a number of Nike Free Trainer 3.0 other Free Run Retros, but in this latest Nike Free Powerlines twitter video, Nate Robinson sheds light on one of his favorite sneakers – the Nike Air Max 1. New Balance released a new 574 right around the turn of the year whose navy, gold and gum colorway coupled with corded laces offered clear visual evidence of their trail boot inspiration.  There’s another navy blue suede New Balance 574 coming up for spring that also uses a rugged boot for its muse, but the effect is entirely different thanks to a couple of key details.  These new NB574s lack the gridding that’s synonymous with hiking gear, and their traditional flat laces have these looking more like a nondescript premium take on this classic runner than any overt boot sendup.  But Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 each pair offers its own take on a rich build you can count on everyday just like a good pair of steel toes, and you can see more of the navy pair in addition to brown, black and grey joints after the jump.  Let us know which pair comes off best and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via FNG

Wale’s recent Celebrity Feet sightings featured the D.C. rapper reaching back into his closet for some older gems like the Air Max LeBron V2 ‘Christ The King’ and the recently released Solar Red LeBron 8 V/2 Lows. Nike’s highest-priced Lunar-cushioned performance runner returns for a third installment in 2013. The original was priced at $130 (a whopping $30 Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 higher than the $100 LunarGlide), but the Eclipse sub-category has gained a solid following for its outstanding design and performance quality. The LunarEclipse+3 Nike Free Run 3 is cushioned by the ‘bottomless’ carrier construction with visible Dynamic Flywire locking down the midfoot for peak fit. The heel-cap also comes with a re-design as well. With Team USA coming home with a Gold Medal just a couple of weeks ago, there’s no doubt that every member of that squad has been re-invigorated with an urgent sense of competition as they enter the 2012-13 NBA Season. It started with the Dunk High, then (nose)slid onto the Mogan 2 and switched sports entirely for the LunarRidge, so the stage is set now for the latest Nike Winter OMS release to combine all these influences. The Nike Lunar Braata Mid OMS does just that, pairing a skate upper with the Ridge’s LunarLon OMS sole (a lighter alternative to the Winter Dunk’s Free-inspired bottoms). One of the major developments in the sneaker world this season was the confirmed return of the Air Jordan III with ‘Nike Air’ on the heel. Considering the White/Cements last saw the light of day in Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 this form back in 1994, the reaction to this news was, for the most part, positive. However, this latest bit of information might be a thorn on the side, as the retail price for the Air Jordan III with Nike Air will be set at $200 – a whopping $40 jump from the MSRP of the 2011 Retro version. Nike Sportswear adds a fourth member to the chromed-out Super Bowl Trophy pack with the classic Bo Jackson trainer that returns in its signature colorway this Saturday. The ‘Memphis Blues’ tune is slowly beginning to play out, because after we showed you a detailed set of images earlier this week, we’re getting hit with some more images of this purported ’1-of-1′, which clearly is far from being the one-of. Royal Blue is to Penny as Varsity Red is the MJ, and this colorway definitely pulls no punches as it goes ‘Raging Blue’ with the tonal colorway on hte upper, with the translucent outsole and 1-Cent logo offering the only contrast. South Beach was the first area of Miami Beach to be developed back in the Nineteen-Teens, but it was nearly a century later that this Biscayne Bay hot spot became a sneaker colorway.  People will be talking about that ‘South Beach’ LeBron 8 for another hundred years or more, a sneaker so popular it rivals the most elite Air Jordans in terms of copycat colorways (and, one day, retro potential?).  The LeBron 9 already had a variety of MIA-themed colorups, but none carries the same pedigree nor pricetag as the ‘South Beach’ Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite.  These official images depict the Wolf Grey-based, Mint Candy New Green and Pink Flash-accented LeBron 9 Elite in all its glory; do you have its June 2nd US release date circled on your calendar?

 

The Nike Air Foamposite One has steered pretty clear of too many NBA team tie-in colorways, Nike Free Run + 3 aside from the initial ‘Royal’ colorway to go with Penny’s Magic uniform and that rare ‘Knicks’ version that Spike Lee was blessed with earlier in the year. Pushing the envelope a bit is the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Phoenix Suns’ shown here, which takes cues from the aforementioned ‘Royal’ with its blue base and then injects in some orange beyond the Foamposite sections. One thing we can’t overlook about these European sneaker events is the variety in brand representation. On the daily, the internet is chock full of folks lamenting the days gone by, claiming that the sneaker game has gone downhill since x-era or y-release. Earlier this week we hit you with a release date for this original Air Jordan from 1985, but it’s time to take a closer look at each individual pair. Is the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Championship/MVP’ Pack’ the most coveted LeBron release (note: this doesn’t include PEs and samples) of all-time? Unlike something like the Son of Mars Low where these are combined with other influences from the Air Jordan Legacy, the Jordan Flight Origin focuses squarely on the end of the 1980s for its inspiration. This pair is like a cross between the ‘True Blue’ IIIs and ‘White Cement’ IVs, and features a bit less splatter detailing than the more fitting ‘Black Cement’ edition also releasing around this time.
